CLIC Dragon Boat Regatta
Today Saint-Gobain Abrasives took part in the CLIC
(Challenging Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood) charity Dragon Boat Regatta.

Our Team
"The Diamond Geezers" - Saint-Gobain Abrasives
This is
the 6th time this annual sponsored charity event has been held by CLIC and aims to raise
as much money as possible for CLIC in Gloucester. CLIC helps the
youngsters in our midst whose lives have become overshadowed by the terrible
illness of cancer and leukaemia. CLIC do not receive any state funding
whatsoever and therefore rely heavily on events such as this to provide the wonderful
services that they do.
This years
event was attended by 30 teams split equally into a morning and an afternoon
regatta. Saint-Gobain Abrasives took part in the morning regatta and
managed to survive until the semi-finals. We came 2nd, 1st, 1st and 2nd
