The Tolerance Types

Two variants are available:

Commercial - used when high levels of accuracy are not required, such as plain periwheels and cup wheels.
High Precision - used on profile applications where consistency of shape is important.

Grain Sizes

The Plating Conditions

Three plating conditions are available which may be further tailored to customer needs.

Underplate - 2/3rd of grain exposed through the nickel substrate. Normally used for grinding tungsten carbide, fibre glass, stone and other hard but friable materials
Normal Plate 1/3rd of grain exposed through the nickel substrate. Used in the majority of grinding operations where the strength of grain retention is important.
Overplate - Minimal grain exposure through the nickel substrate. Almost exclusively for rotary truer applications.
